FAQ - Product Questions - Baely's Paw Shield
Can I use Baely’s Paw Shield on my cat?
Please do not use Baely’s Paw Shield on your cats. Here’s why…while dogs and humans can breakdown essential oils naturally in our bodies, cats lack the liver enzyme necessary to breakdown these oils. Because of the lack of the proper liver enzyme, the cat’s kidneys and renal system have to work extra hard to eliminate the essential oils.
While Baely’s Paw Shield has only a very small amount of essential oils, and they will not lead to liver toxicity in a normal cat – if your cat has an undiagnosed kidney disorder, the extra work needed to breakdown the essential oils may cause your cat to get sick.
Please use Milo’s Paw Purrfect for your cat’s paws. We have designed this formula specifically for the biological needs of your cat or kitten.
